Question for friends at McKnight

.
It was a great day for me. I was somewhat apprehensive about the trip to church tonight after all that has happened there in the last few days...but my church family was supportive, encouraging and very kind to me tonight. Thank you again!

Here is my question for all of you tonight... Why do so many people comment to me face to face about my blog, but so few post their opinions and comments here?

(If you are not a McKnight friend, and you want to comment, feel free!)

We are glad that you felt supported tonight. We all love you very much and appreciate all that you have done for McKnight Road Church of Christ.

The answer to your question is that people are afraid to comment because they are afraid that their words or ideas will be held against them. Like Brad said tonight, we are sometimes too good at holding grudges and being angry, and nobody wants to put themselves in that situation.

It was great to see you tonight and see how you are handling yourself. You are a very graceful and loving person. You are a much better person than me. I would not be as kind as you are being. Thanks for being a good example.

I suspect that not many of us spend a lot time out here in cyberspace; but, with that being said I wanted to say here what I have told you in person. I love and appreciate you! You are a dear sister in Christ with whom I look forward to spending eternity with in heaven. I hope that people will see that it is all about love and relationship within the kingdom. We all want the same things: wholeness, peace, fullfillment and joy. Thank you for all of your contributions to the body of believers who meet at McKnight Road. As we have prayed together, God has some great things in store for you! :-)

I would rather talk to someone in person. If I put a posting on a blog-site, then all the world can see what I have written. Sometimes, I just want to have a one-on-one conversation with somebody, and not have to feel like I'm talking to the whole world.

Well, for me, living halfway across the country, the only place I can comment is on your blog. However, I think that is a totally different thing altogether.

I think some people feel it is more personal to comment face to face. I think they feel their comments would be more sincere if it is verbalized instead of typed on a blog.

However, that being said, I will post on my husband's blog, as well as discussing it face to face with him. I think that if a person takes the time to post a blog, and I take the time to read it, AND I have something I want to say, I should take the time to put it on the blog.

So there is my two cents.

I like reading your blog and many others. When I sit and read I will usually comment back when it takes little thinking or effort. When the subject gets deep it is too much effort for my allotted blog time. Many would say old Ed is simply simple.
