To everyone reading this...

Wherever you are, and whatever you are doing, please stop and say a prayer for my friend Susan and her husband Glenn. Also, please pray for my friend Richard and his wife Barb. God knows what they need. Thank you.

I just got back from the hospital with the Durhams. Things look better today than they did yesterday, but she is still dealing with serious issues. Susan was originally taken to the hospital because it was feared that her kidneys were failing. They were and that was a result of some internal bleeding. The source of the bleeding was one of the tumors on her liver. The doctors are working to stop that bleeding and we should know on Tuesday if they were successful. If what they have done today (well now yesterday) doesn't stop the bleeding they have another option but it carries a high risk of damaging her kidneys. So, we pray for the bleeding to stop over night.

Visiting hours in the CCU are very limited, but I should be able to get you an update shortly after lunch. If its alright I will post it here.

The reports this morning on Susan's condition were encouraging. She will likely be moved out of CCU today and she sends thanks to all those who have prayed for her. The doctors said that her internal bleeding has slowed and has nearly stopped so they have been able to stabilize her blood pressure. Her kidney function has also increased. However these is still serious cause for concern. Brent asked the doctor what we needed to be praying for and the doctor said three things: greater increase in kidney function, stoppage of internal bleeding caused by tumor growth, and comfort. Please continue to pray for this wonderful family.
