Input please....

.
Alright, so I have a bunch of money that I need to spend on iTunes. See, everyone knows that I love music, and no one ever knows what to buy me for gifts because first of all I don't really need anything, and second of all, I don't really want anything. So, naturally, an iTunes card is a great gift for me!
Now the only problem is that I don't have any idea what to buy. I like ballads generally... I like the sound of Jack Johnson, Casting Crowns, Maroon 5, James Taylor, and John Mayer.
But, I also love Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Tori Amos and Jennifer Hudson.
So, I am looking for someone new to listen to... NOTHING HARD- what do you suggest?

Don't forget that you can download TV Shows, and Movies from iTunes as well! I've been downloading Gray's Anatomy, Friends, and Breaking Bonaduce for $1.99 an episode, of which you are allowed to burn to DVD! It's fabulous! You get to burn the Movies too!

Depends on how much you have to spend. I would love to have $50 to spend on iTunes, but I would ruminate forever over what to buy.

I would love to buy some Patsy Cline, though I already have a greatest hits on CD that I transferred to my iPod.

I also would like some older Mellencamp.

My favorite group is Bon Jovi and I am missing only one CD, an old one, so buying it on iTunes would be a definite option.

I am drawing a blank as to the singer, but whoever sings the songs "100 Years" and "Superman" would be a big choice for me. I love his voice.

100 years and Superman were sang by Matchbox 20 - They Rock!

I left the movies comment - Yeah I think your right Connie - Def. don't watch TV while driving - Now I do put my makeup on during the morning commute- but they teach us girls that in high school - by out 30's were pros at that!

Hope you find some stuff you like!

I always put my makeup on in the car, whether on my way to work or out shopping or whatever. My makeup bag lives in my center console. If I put it on in the house (for whatever strange reason) I have to get it out of the car :o)

Actually, the artist in question is "Five for Fighting"

The song by Matchbox 20 that you are thinking about is "Real World" on the "Yourself or Someone Like You" CD.

I have to be careful about what I suggest--since you have a tendency to hate anything that I suggest musically.

What about Dixie Chicks new one "The Long Road"? Has the strength of production that so much of today's "country" has, without the trite, formulaic songwriting and instrumentation. (Sang it with a TWANG and put a stayel Geeetar in thar, and ayts CUUUUUNTRAY)

My other newest arrivals--

Dream Theater-- "Octivarium" (I know, too hard)

Evanescence- "The Open Door" (even harder--but MAN what a voice)

Alicia Keys--The Diary of Alicia Keys

Emmylou Harris-- "Pieces of the Sky"

The Talking Heads--"Stop Making Sense"

Artists that I have heard that are on my "to investigate further" list:

Corrine Rae Bailey
K.T. Tunstall
John Mayer

Also, run a search on "Taylor Roberts" or "Taylor Roberts Music". If you are liking Jack Johnson, et. al., you muight like what he is doing alot.

Good Luck!!!

Try downloading "New Slang" from The Shins. The album is called Oh, Inverted World. If I ever make a movie-this will definitely be in the score.

I have a pretty wide selection of music tastes, I like Casting Crowns, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews Band, The Afters, The Shins, Coldplay, Barenaked Ladies, and Falling Up. I also like Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, I could go on forever too, but you can probably just ask me : ) Love ya
