how big is the office?
If it is BIG. . .then paint it a dark color, like a hunter green, or a maroon or a navy. . .
If it is smaller, go with a pastel. . .like a peach, or a coral. . .
maybe even just like an eggshell or a toffee color.
God, I am such a girl!
Absolutely no off-white/ivory/eggshell, etc. All it looks is like dirty white walls, even if they are spotlessly clean.
I would not go with anything to bright, because this is a professional position, and you are a professional.
I think calming colors would be nice. A pale yellow, pale pink, pale lavender, etc would be nice. Easter egg colors, but in moderation.
If you go with pale walls, your furniture should be darker. If you have blond/light furniture, you may want to go a bit darker so the room is balanced.
Orange... it has shown to keep people on task! Our last office was burnt orange and I loved it... always felt very efficient in there! Let me know if you want the exact color, and I will let you know. It's risky though if you're not used to dark colors! Thank you for your sweet note on my blog... my finger really is cool looking. How about the color of my kitchen? I do like yellow - but I am into bright and bold colors. Maybe do two colors - three walls of one color and one wall of a contrasting color. Are you president yet?? After all - it has been almost 4 days. a
