Thought For The Day

Sometimes what a person chooses NOT to say is much more important that what he or she chooses to freely verbalize. It is our responsibility to listen to both the unspoken and the spoken.

I couldn't agree more. Some of the biggest lessons Jesus taught was by his lack of words. Remember what he did before talking to the people who wanted to stone the woman caught in adultery? He was silent. He bent down and drew in the dirt. What was he telling us by not telling us anything for a time? He taught us about humility, and taking time to think before we speak.

I am not sure that this is the kind of silence you are referring to here. I hope that you know that you can say or not say anything to me. LK
